Innodb plugin initialization aborted with error data structure corruption

unable to start new container — InnoDB: Corrupted page #318

Comments

MorgothSauron commented Jul 18, 2020

After I long pause I resumed the building of a nextcloud instance. When I start the container I get the following error using the same docker-compose file as before. It’s a new installation: the database doesn’t exist yet.

I’m not able to reproduce on amd64

How are the resources on your system? Especially considering it’s an arm64 device is the memory getting maxed out triggering an OOMkill?

MorgothSauron commented Jul 20, 2020

I don’t see any message in dmesg that would indicate that OOMkill happens.

This is a Pi4 with 4Gb of RAM. Right now it’s only running a PiHole and Unbound, each using less than 1% of memory. There is nothing else running.

alexandresoro commented Jul 20, 2020 •

I got the very same issue, also with a Pi 4 4GB. So it may be an issue that only occurs on arm64 ?

I noticed is that it occurred when migrating from 10.4 to 10.5 on an existing database, but also with a fresh database.

I managed to reproduce with 10.5.1 but the issue cannot be reproduced on latest 10.4 (10.4.13 I believe).

I ran the basic command:

sudo docker run -e MYSQL_RANDOM_ROOT_PASSWORD=true mariadb

Please find the dump below,

/.my.cnf You can also try to start the mysqld daemon with: shell> /usr/sbin/mysqld —skip-grant-tables —general-log & and use the command line tool /usr/bin/mysql to connect to the mysql database and look at the grant tables: shell> /usr/bin/mysql -u root mysql mysql> show tables; Try ‘mysqld —help’ if you have problems with paths. Using —general-log gives you a log in /var/lib/mysql/ that may be helpful. I tried version 10.4.13 with the same docker-compose file on the same pi4 and it is working.

Looks like the install did not complete correctly.

Did you install WAMPServer «As Administrator».

If not, Uninstall this WAMPServer, manually delete the \wamp folder

Then reinstall properly, you must launch the install exe use «Run as Administrator»

What is the content of : READ (and answer) BEFORE YOU ASK A QUESTION

And then if you are using WAMPServer3 also read WAMPServer 3 All you need to know

When you ask a question, please ensure you start your question with the answers to ALL these 13 questions .

1 — Windows version used (Specify version number AND whether 32 or 64 bit)
2 — Version WampServer (Specify version number AND whether 32 or 64 bit)
3 — Apache Version
4 — PHP Version
5 — MySQL Version
6 — What color is the WampServer icon (in the notification area of the taskbar)

When all goes well it should be green, but it may be red or orange.

If the WampServer icon is NOT GREEN please ensure you have looked at these files :-
a — Apache error log
— ( wampmanager -> Apache -> Apache error log )
— ( wampmanager -> Apache -> Apache access log )
b — MySQL error log ( wampmanager -> MySQL -> MySQL log )
c — PHP error log ( wampmanager -> PHP -> PHP error log )

Depending on the error, one or all of the above may be empty so also look at
d — The windows event viewer
— Windows Key + R to launch the run dialog then enter eventvwr.exe and press the OK button
— — On the left side of the windows click ‘Windows Logs -> Applications’
— — Look for the names ‘Apache Service’ or ‘MySQL’ in the Source column which have a error symbol in the first column.

If you find any errors that you cannot fix for yourself please post the COMPLETE EXACT error message in your question.

7 — In the file c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, what are the active lines with the name [localhost] in them?
* Active means no # at the beginning of the line.

If the WampServer icon is green:

8 — Do you have access to localhost (Homepage WampServer)?
9 — Do you have access to phpMyAdmin?

10 — If you refer to an error message, please include the EXACT wording of the error in your post
11 — If you use an Antivirus and / or Firewall, please include the names of these
12 — What is the full path to the installation of WampServer (eg D:\wamp\)
13 — If you have one or more Virtual Hosts defined, please show their definition(s)
——————————————————

At a minimum, there are thirteen responses to be given.
