Ошибка (Error) Service Call 231 (Вызов технической помощи 231) возникает на любых моделях цветных принтеров и МФУ OKI. Официально ошибка означает: Ошибка связи с устройством чтения RFID-чипа. Для этой ошибки существуют дополнительные коды, указанные после слова Error. Их значения приведены ниже:

Совсем левый, то есть очень не качественный — именно он вызывает ошибку 231 с дополнительными кодами от 01 до 14. Понятно, что чип ставят для использования заправки. Если уж очень хочется заправлять — меняйте поставщика чипов! Ошибка эта, как и другие ошибки на OKI — не сбрасывается! После установки в тонер-картридж качественного чипа или, что лучше, после замены заправленного тонер-картриджа на оригинал ошибка Service Call 231 автоматически пропадёт.

Японский производитель принтеров Oki Data Corporation является одной из самых инновационных компании в сфере разработки печатного оборудования. Именно ему принадлежит популярная светодиодная технология печати (LED). Сейчас эту технологию используют практически все компании, разрабатывающие принтеры, в том числе и корпорация Xerox.

В рамках данной статьи рассмотрим решение часто возникающей ошибки при установке совместимого чипа в заправленный картридж «Service Call 231 Fatal Error 03» Данная ошибка типична для всех принтеров OKI, использующих бесконтактные чипы. Если обратиться к сервис-мануалу, то ошибка означает буквально следующее — «RFID Reader I/FError». Переводя на доступный пользователю язык данная надпись означает, что принтер не может корректно считать или записать данные на чип.

Суть проблемы

Для того, чтобы приступить к решению проблемы, нужно понять, в чем она заключается. Дело в том, что чипы OKI представляют собой пассивные RFID-метки, не имеющие своего источника питания. Чипы OKI напитывается энергией, индуцированной в антенне электромагнитным сигналом от считывателя. Совместимые чипы OKI представляют собой эмуляторы, выполненные на микросхеме pic12f683 от компании Microchip. Выбор именно этого микроконтроллера не случаен: он стоит копейки, что в свою очередь сильно удешевляет себестоимость чипа и делает его более конкурентоспособным. Как показала практика, этот микроконтроллер вместе с минимальной обвязкой (около 10-15 радиоэлементов) потребляет слишком много энергии, и принтер не успевает произвести полноценный обмен данными с чипом.

Решение проблемы.

Для решения проблемы достаточно обеспечить достаточное питание чипу. Для этого нужно устанавливать чипы не в картридж, а приклеивать их непосредственно к считывателю чипа. Оптимальное расстояние от считывателя до чипа должно составлять примерно 3-4 миллиметра. Именно на этом расстоянии электромагнитное поле считывателя чипа обеспечивает максимальную мощность для полноценного обмена данными между принтером и чипом. Оптимальным решением будет крепить чип к считывателю вспененным скотчем в два слоя микросхемой вверх.

Рекомендации.

При заправке двух и более картриджей рекомендуем устанавливать чипы по очереди, так будет легче понять какой из чипов сбоит(ошибка указывает на проблему с чипом, но не идентифицирует — на какой). Наличие чипа принтер контролирует регулярно, но вот запись в чип он делает только при включении принтера или при записи остатка тонера в картридж, примерно каждые 5%-10%. Это связанно с тем, что протокол обмена между чипом и принтером достаточно сложный (зашифрованный). Бывают случаи, когда после заправки принтер немного поработал и снова вывалился в ошибку. В таких случаях рекомендуем клиенту немного пошевелить чип. Как правило, это помогает.

Заключение.

Данные рекомендации относятся только к чипам, выполненным на микросхеме pic12f683. На этой микросхеме выполнены чипы для следующих аппаратов OKI: С5600/С5700/C5650/C5750/C5800/C5900/C5850/C5950/C3300/ C3450/C3600/С9600/С9800/С9650/С9850. Для этих принтеров также существуют чипы, выполненные на других микроконтроллерах, не имеющих подобных недостатков. Достать подобные чипы даже в Москве весьма тяжело, а уж про регионы и говорить не приходится.

The fuser unit is not properly installed. Remove and re-install the fuser unit. If the error persists after re-installing, replace the fuser unit with a new one.

Install New Belt Unit

Waste toner of the belt unit is full. Replace the belt unit with a new one. Opening and closing the front cover can resume printing. Printing stops after 500 sheets are printed.

Check Toner Cartridge

Improper Lock Lever Position

A color toner cartridge indicated on the screen is not installed.

Make sure to turn the toner cartridge lock lever (blue) on the right side of the cartridge until it lines up with the in the far end. If the lever is in the correct position, check that the white protective tape has been removed.

The inside of the printer is hot. Remove any objects blocking the ventilation holes on the printer, and restart the printer. If the same error is displayed again, contact your dealer.

The inside of the printer is at a low temperature. Raise the room temperature, then restart the printer. If the same error is displayed again, contact your dealer.

This is a duplex unit error. Turn the power off, and re-install the duplex unit. If the same error is displayed again, contact your dealer.

231-05, 231-06, 231-07, 231-08, 231-23

Reading the consumables information failed.

If the following number is displayed, replace the corresponding consumable.

231-05 to 231-08: Toner cartridge / Image drum

231-23: Fuser unit/ Belt unit

Turn off the printer and turn on again after a while.

«*» is a 3-digit error code. The number that is displayed changes according to the error content.

011, F0C, F0D, FFE, FFF

A fatal error occurred on the printer.

Contact your dealer and tell them the number in the error message and how the machine works.

The error code is displayed within the range 0x001 to 0xfff.
